Like any belief system, if you invest too heavily in it you start to attribute all success to it and all failures to yourself for having done something wrong in regards to it. Better to own your successes and failures, I think. It's a useful lens through which to view the world, but like any lens it's a distorted view. Lesser magicks affect larger ones. Macro and micro.
