It’s an amazing blog, lots of incredible material. When we first started with Animam Recro, I was hoping that we would reach the level of quality that you consistently produce here. I can assure you that the blog will attract a larger following with time, it’s very very good.
Good luck with it all! (I hope to read all of your material with time)
Let’s hoist high peaceful purposes! Thank you for existing. Amy
I just discovered your site today. I was especially impressed by the way you connected Anna-Nichole’s death with the archetypes in The Golden Bough. I once studied Anthropology and Philosophy but it seems you are applying those ideas better than I ever have. You’ve inspired me to look more deeply at the news and pop-culture.
I also appreciated your analysis of the AP story regarding the recent stock market “correction”. That was good stuff. I had stopped paying close attention to news stories to avoid being hypnotized. You have shown me a way to see through all that.
Thank you.
AP
Thank all of you!
I found the link to your site from the FoF blog hosted by the Sheik. I agree with him about the high quality of your presentation.
I really like the serene panoramic at the top of your site. I wonder if you have a high resolution digital image or a color slide of it you could ‘rent’ me to copy. A friend of mine produces beautiful large format archival color prints and I would like to have a print made of it.
I have already made a screensaver of it on my computer.
I spent some time in Japan during the early ’70s and it brings back great memories (if iindeed it is from there).
Thanks TiWYFi. Glad you enjoy my presentation. I strive for quality and its nice to hear that I attain it here and there.
Truth be told, the panoramic at the top of my site is not my doing. It is actually a panoramic that comes as part of one of wordpress’ web-page templates. Maybe it’s from Japan, but I don’t really know. I just like the picture as it’s calm and peaceful and speaks to me deeply.
Look forward to seeing you share here in the future.
Cheers.
Since you wondered allowed in your blog on Charles Harrelson whether or not I was a real person or a pen name, I thought I would clarify. My correct name is W.W. Bear Mills. It was posted oddly in the online version of the Charles Harrelson story, so the first W. was omitted. However, it is not a pen-name. I am a real person, have a B.A. in communications, B.S. in education, and an M.A. in history, am a James Madison Fellow in American History and a Fulbright Scholar.
Regarding your questions regarding Charles Harrelson, probably no reporter on earth knew Harrelson better than Gary Cartwright of Texas Monthly. If you really want to understand Harrelson, immerse yourself in Cartwright’s work.
Mr. Mills, it’s a pleasure to hear from you. Thanks for the clarification regarding your name. Your credentials are impressive, needless to say; and it makes the information about a possible Bay of Pigs connection as you sited in the newspaper article even more credible.
Thanks for the lead on Gary Cartwright. If you have suggestions as to where to start with his work on Harrelson, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Peace.
Listen to this man; he knows. But more importantly, he knows when he doesn’t know. And he’s one of the best friends anyone could hope for.
Greetings, Cadeveo:
Please reply to me via the e-mail address that is attached to this reply to contact me about the e-mail interview you wrote me about in the comments section of my website.
You and I are on the same wavelength, in terms of what we are interested in reporting.
My stuff is more political in nature, and this is ONLY because I have such a keen understanding of it. However, I do write about spiritual and experiential matters as well, and this is because of my understanding of them as well.
I will save my comments on education for the interview itself, so please remember to re-ask the questions, when you are putting them together for me to answer.
Warmest Regards,

I grew up with Jim Keith… he would be very pleased to know that something he said long ago would still be inspiring people to get it. It’s possible the only thing Keith truly believed in “all the way” was the critical necessity to ignore the static as much as possible and continue to think for oneself despite the worlds ever-increasing attempts to get us to do othewise.

This blog seems strangely familiar…
Really? In what way, wombat?
I appreciate your art and your kinship.

Thanks, brother. Likewise. Mayhaps we’ll commune in the flesh someday. Keep on living!
Amazing. Bookmarked and checked every 2nd day
“…he knows when he doesn’t know.”
Exactly. The only true sign on intelligence in my book.
PS I love your comments on celebrity ritual culture… because that’s essentially what it is.
I really agree with your piece on Britney Spears and I especially like Ty Brown’s protection symbol.. there are times in my life where I have needed it for myself! I can feel for her.. I am rather empathic and have been through similar “episodes” in my life. When I think of her and the media I think of this song:
How can people be so heartless
How can people be so cruel
Easy to be hard
Easy to be cold
How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be proud
Easy to say no
And especially people
Who care about strangers
Who care about evil
And social injustice
Do you only
Care about the bleeding crowd?
How about a needing friend?
I need a friend
How can people be so heartless
You know I’m hung up on you
Easy to give in
Easy to help out
And especially people
Who care about strangers
Who say they care about social injustice
Do you only
Care about the bleeding crowd
How about a needing friend?
I need a friend
How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be hard
Easy to be cold
Easy to be proud
Easy to say no
Anyway, I am looking forward to reading more of your blogs as time ensues
