I know that usually, dreams aren’t supposed to be taken literally. Usually they are symbolic. Then again, when I saw this news item while passing by a TV around noon today, I had one of those Alison Dubois, scrunch-faced moments:
TEL AVIV: A dramatic video of a horse galloping over the top of a moving car [...]

Here’s the dream:
I am on a megabus heading to Washington D.C. There are very few people on this bus and I am half-asleep. I am close to the front of the bus, so I notice when the bus comes upon a giant horse galloping in front of it. At first, the bus is just clipping [...]

From a dream this morning where I kept going into increasingly fractal heavy computer-based virtual realities:
All habits are virtual.
Think on that one. Just curious how it resonates with you folks out there. I’ll write up more details on the dream when other priorities are covered. In the next day or two, All willing.

Going through some old stuff yesterday, I came across an old notebook of mine. I only filled five pages of it before I abandoned it or lost it under a pile of something or who knows what. Of the five pages, four of them got devoted to jotting down dreams from late June, [...]

I’ve been having very big dreams lately which, like a sandcastle too close to the water, almost completely wash away the minute I wake up. Even before I have the presence to write them down, they’ve washed away and all I have is the certainty that the dream happened, but not much else. [...]

That’s the dream I had a few nights ago. Rather, that’s all I remember of the dream, the one moment before waking.
I’m standing in front of a large store display of white candles with an image of the Virgin Mary floating above the ocean painted on each one.
Well, I came across an image in Brooklyn [...]

While going through my dream journal, I came across a record from the beginning of the year. Though it had felt quite important at the time, I’d managed to let this dream slip from my consciousness until this morning. With six month’s distance, I have even more respect for the dream’s deeper possible implications:

Here we go again.

You find yourself at John Jay College on a Saturday. You’re in a classroom filled with elderly white men, a few women, and some young, black teenagers. A man with the build of a retired linebacker gone soft plays three audio-tapes in succession. One is a speech by [...]

This is a dream I had on the morning of April 1st, and it continues to reverberate with personal significance. For whatever value it might hold for others— or for whatever insight others may give —I share it with you.
I found myself in a very wealthy, but remote subdivision in a small town at [...]
